While killing time in the West Village last week before a workout, I stumbled upon the work of
DANIEL CASTAN in the
CARRÉ D'ARTISTES NYC. Daniel uses quick-drying acrylic paint to make textured paintings from memory. What I love about his work is how the layered technique and colors used make the abstract paintings of the city come alive.
Lucky for us locals, Daniel will be in NYC at the
CARRÉ D'ARTISTES painting, signing and discussing his technique on November 29th and 30th from 12PM to 7PM. The pieces are pricey, but good art is worth the investment, no?
