Shades of Grey

Grey doesn't always mean prison grey. In fact, there are so many different shades of grey with different undertones that you can find one to work in any space in your home. From your kitchen, bedroom, living room, or bathroom, the key is to paint plenty of swatches in areas that get different light so you won't be surprised after the fact. The pictures below show that grey is definitely a new neutral.

Serena & Lily New Arrivals

The new looks and new arrivals from SERENA & LILY this season have me very inspired to redecorate. The fresh, casual pieces evoke a very inviting home that doesn't lack in style. I want it all, now if only I could find the budget to do so...

Cozy Spaces

Winter is in full force. It's cold, I can't hibernate, I can't take a vacation (yet), so what's a girl to do? Cuddle up and wish I could call one of these cozy spaces home.

Modern Retreat in Brazil

I came across this hillside gem in the most recent issue of ELLE DECOR and was immediately drawn to it. While the modern style isn't one that appeals to me, what I loved was how this home sits in start contrast to the lush greenery that surrounds it. The open floor-plan, use of glass and concrete throughout, and minimalist decor all juxtapose the natural elements that surround the home.

It's All In The Details

When I stumbled upon this dream Pacific Palisades home on DOMAINE, my jaw nearly hit the floor. The light, neutral palette caught my eye, but what really did it for me were the details. You can tell that the interior designer, KISHANI PERERA, pays extremely close attention to detail. I mean check out the herringbone floor (!!), the tiles used throughout the home (!!!), THAT STAIRCASE! My god, this is what dreams are made of. One day Jen, one day. Until then, I'll swoon over these photos.

Interior Inspired: Cupcakes & Cashmere Living Room

The reveal of CUPCAKES & CASHMERE'S living room designed by AMBER INTERIORS this summer was one of my favorites. Drawn to the simple yet very inviting California-cool living room, I knew this was a look I needed to recreate with some budget-friendly options.

Environment

I wandered by ENVIRONMENT on Bowery the other night and fell in love. Lately I have been very drawn to reclaimed wood pieces, so this was right up my alley. Sustainable design meets sophisticated style - when can I move in?

Elements of Style NYC Book Signing

I LOVE the ELEMENTS OF STYLE BLOG so when I heard Erin Gates would be in town signing her book - ELEMENTS OF STYLE - I jumped on the chance to attend. I know, 2 book signings in one week. Wow. But this was different. Erin has taken her blog so far and she serves as such an inspiration to me and meeting her was the icing on the cake. She is so down to earth and so gorgeous (that outfit was amazing!) and her husband, Andrew, is a riot.

Housewarmings Old Greenwich, CT

While walking through Old Greenwich a few weekends ago with my Mom, we stumbled into HOUSEWARMINGS, located just down the road from Tod's Point. The home furnishing and gift store had me as soon as I stepped inside. Comfy couches in neutral tones, bright bookshelves, and tables full of trays (you know how I like those) - everything was very beachy-glam - and very affordable I might add. Enjoy the pictures below, and if you're in town, stop by.

Interior Inspired: Organized Office Space

IMAGE FOUND VIA
This office was one of the first images I pinned years ago and I still find myself drawn to it. It mixes both materials and finishes perfectly and, most of all, it's functional with lots of storage. Baskets are just one of the ways I love to organize in my apartment, as they keep all of your crap stuff hidden while still looking appealing to the eye. Check out how I recreated the look below.

Restoration Hardware Greenwich, CT

RESTORATION HARDWARE recently moved locations on Greenwich Avenue and took over the old Post Office, and my what a transformation. I was a fan of the store before, but the new space left me speechless. The interiors are all gorgeous and left me feeling inspired to one day mimic this decor in my own home. Until then, I'll refer to these pictures and dream of my house with high ceilings, wood accents, and sinkable leather couches.

Interior Inspired: Modern Vignette

IMAGE
Inspired by this lovely vignette, I took my own spin on it below. This would be perfect for a nook in your home or entryway (if you have the space!). Plus, using a dresser allows for a ton of storage. Check it out.

Interior Inspired: Kelly Wearstler Designed Theater

IMAGE

I stumbled across this beauty on DOMAINE. How cozy does this look? Doesn't it just make you want to skip summer altogether and jump right into winter so you can lounge around here and watch movies all day? Okay, maybe not. But if this room was in my house (ahem, small apartment), I would settle for a rainy day playing hooky from work.

Anyways, this gorgeous room was designed by Kelly Wearstler for the Dreamworks CEO and its FOR SALE. So maybe I can get my hands on it after all...in my dreams. Here's my take on a similar look.

Can I Live Here? Billy Joel's Hamptons Estate

I never thought I'd want to live in the Hamptons, but if I had a whopping $19.95 million this might be my place. Billy Joel is selling this 5,550-square-foot, four-bedroom, six-bath home designed by Nate Berkus - yes, the Nate Berkus - and it is to die for. Oceanfront views, pool, and that kitchen...WOW. Now if only I was the Piano Man....

Home Decor

Home Decor

If I bring one more thing home for the apartment I think my boyfriend will either kill me or I will go broke. So these are merely for decor inspiration, but they would look good in the place...
